Jeanell, What a beautiful reason you have shared with us. In most of the cases foreigners move to Colombia because they have to ( working reasons, got married with a colombian, etc) although finally they finish loving the country. You made your choice because you want to. And that's admirable.
Cost of land depends of the zone of the city you are looking for. I guess in your case "location" is not an issue and it depends more of what financial resources you have available.
